The position holder will be based in Akwa Ibom or Abuja Regional Office. He will work under the technical supervision of Associate M&E Manager (Data Mining/CQI) to actively undertake day-to-day client-level data focusing on the EMR backend data tables, identify gaps/issues and stimulate remediation interventions to ensure sustained high quality of KPCARE1 backend data. The position holder will also provide pivotal role in data visualization for presentations and engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively engage in the EMR client level backend data review, feedback and remediation process
  • Undertake pivotal role in data analysis and visualization to meet PowerPoint presentation, report or other communication purposes for both internal and external audience.
  • Assist in troubleshooting data and EMR (LAMISPlus) issues reported or identified in other to evolve lasting solution.
  • Participate actively in the collation or data/reports as may be required from time to time.
  • Assist with data verification and triangulation with particular attention to the EMR system (LAMISPlus) versus the NDR
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor in response to the Project needs.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • Degree in Medical records, Statistics or any discipline in the social sciences
  • Minimum two (2) years post NYSC working experience within a donor funded project setting (HIV/AIDS programming preferred)
  • Basic data management and analysis skills – data/quantum Analytics competency will be added advantage.
  • Hands-on skills in data management and visualization software (e.g Power-Bi)
  • Practical skills in the use of electronic medical records systems and deployment of database systems for patient monitoring an asset.

Preferred Skills:

  • High- level computer skills using MS Excel, MS Access, PowerBi, SPSS and/or SAS and Epi- Info Windows

  • Knowledge of Local Language preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Outlook/Exchange, Windows operating systems, Power Point.
  • Other software routinely used by Heartland Alliance

Work Environment:

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • The employee will be required to co-locate with local partners usually in the same office.
  • The employee is required to travel regularly to often insecure and limited-resource environments.
  • The employee will be required to work directly with populations that are vulnerable and at high risk of HIV and Human rights violation.
