Greenville LNG Company Limited is the pioneer Domestic LNG producer in Nigeria with the objective of extending gas supplies to regions not reached by gas pipelines thereby making available a competitive source of energy to boost the economy. Greenville LNG Plant is in Rumuji near Port-Harcourt and has customer locations in Lagos, Kaduna, Kano, Enugu, Sokoto, Aba and other cities nationwide.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Aluminium Welder

Locations: Port Harcourt, Rivers and Kaduna

About the Job

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine appropriate welding techniques.
  • Prepare metal parts by cleaning, grinding, and cutting to meet specific project requirements.
  • Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding techniques based on the type and thickness of the metal being used.
  • Weld and fabricate aluminium parts and components to precise specifications using TIG and MIG techniques.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot issues with welding equipment and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Work with a team of engineers, fabricators, and other welders to complete projects within deadlines
  • Review blueprints for specifications
  • Weld, cut, and grind aluminium of different widths.
  • Finish and inspect products for quality
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of SSCE
  • More than 5 years of welding experience preferred.
  • Experience in aluminium welding and fabrication
  • Completion of welding training or apprenticeship preferred.
  • MIG or TIG Certification (preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently produce high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Manufacturing experience working in industrial production or construction is strongly preferred.
  • Capable of reading and understanding production documents and safety manuals.
  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to always comply with safety policies.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Attend all safety and production trainings.
  • You will need to be reliable and punctual
