Role Overview

  • The Managing Director – Corporate Development Executive Office “MD-CDEO” plays a critical Leadership role managing the Chairman’s executive office to drive the company’s growth, expansion and strategic initiatives in fulfilment of the organisational goals

Key Focus Area
Strategic Leadership:

  • Oversee the daily administration, supervision and management of the teams and units under the CDEO with the definitive aim of ensuring tasks, and targets are achieved on time and to their fullest objectives.
  • This role requires the MD CDEO to very hands-on, proactive and most dynamic capabilities in resolving problems with realistic solutions, delivering on the serial tasks and targets of the various units in the CDEO, amongst others (corporate finance, procurement & commercial, client coverage, new frontier markets, government relations, communications etc)
  • In addition to the above, the MD-CDEO will actively support the Chairman of the company in the formulation, execution and adaptation of the company’s long-term strategy, aligning with the vision of expanding energy infrastructure across Africa and other jurisdiction of the company’s interest.
  • Group wide Corporate Strategy
  • Business Strategy (Subsidiaries/OpCos)
  • Financial Strategy

Driving Growth:

  • Business Development: Originating and securing new projects across the energy value chain of interests to the company.
  • Market Expansion: Working with project development and funding leadership in exploring new markets and opportunities as well as raising capital across the spectrum of funding needs of the company.
  • Strategic Relationship: Developing and nourishing strong relationships that will facilitate access to information and contacts required in securing, executing and,managing serial businesses.
  • Market Research and Innovation: Constantly assessing the markets for relevant information and data and researching new technologies, products and services the company could innovate to create new markets

Business Performance & Risk Oversight:

  • Commercial Operations Oversight: Evaluating and assessing commissioned projects/operational businesses for financial optimization and aligning with corporate goals, investment performances and re-structuring etc.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks, including regulatory, financial, and operational challenges, particularly in the context of diverse African markets
  • Corporate Assurance: Working with the Finance & Accounts Directorate, Asset Management leadership and other relevant units to constantly assess and realign group-wide business performances, compliance monitoring, tracking performance growth indicators

Strategic Partnership Management:

  • Constantly managing strategic relationships with key partners of the company e.g. funding institutions, large corporates, governments etc.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, investors, regulatory authorities, and industry partners, is vital to drive project success and navigate local regulatory landscapes.

Salary
N3,000,000 Monthly.
