We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Compressor Electrician

Location: Apapa, Lagos

Purpose

  • To efficiently operate and maintain FMN compressed air systems and associated equipment while liaising with Utilities Manager and Complex Operations Managers to always deliver quality air.

The Job

  • To ensure in collaboration with Utilities Management team that all compressors, and associated equipment are operated reliably per OEM standards and best practices (especially electrically related) as aligned with FMN management.
  • To undertake, in collaboration with the Utilities management team, overall electrical preventative; corrective; electrical condition monitoring; shutdown/repair maintenance for all the compressed air systems/equipment in line with set OEM standards and SOP. This includes KPI reporting/tracking, SOPs compliance, downtime mitigation, etc. as designated.
  • Liaise with utilities management to deliver all energy efficiency schemes, initiatives and drive electrical projects in the compressor houses while ensuring full adherence to all pre-aligned statutory and legislative regulations.

Qualifications

  • 5 O’ level Credits including English & Mathematics in not more than two sittings/Technical qualification.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ cognate experience in a similar role.

The Person Must:

  • Have sound knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and components of industrial compressors and utilities equipment.
  • Be skilled in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical faults on compressors, control panels, and related systems.
  • Be able to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Have hands-on experience with preventive and corrective electrical maintenance practices in an industrial environment.
  • Demonstrate strong commitment to safety standards, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
