Job Title: Deputy Chief Operating Officer (Operations Process Lead)

Role Overview
- We are seeking a Deputy COO / Operations Process Lead who will support the COO and CEO in strengthening internal systems, improving operational efficiency, and scaling our processes across departments.
- The ideal candidate is a highly organized, process-driven, and execution-minded individual with experience managing people, systems, and day-to-day operations in a fast-paced company.
- Experience in an EdTech, e-learning, or education-focused organization will be a strong advantage — especially one that has operated at scale (1,000+ learners or clients).
Key Responsibilities
- Support the COO and CEO in driving daily operations across all departments (Customer Service, Supervision, Onboarding, Tutor Success, etc.)
- Develop and document SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for recurring processes and workflows.
- Ensure all departments meet performance targets, escalate issues early, and follow through on resolutions.
- Track team deliverables daily using dashboards, reports, and performance trackers.
- Coordinate inter-departmental communication and ensure smooth escalation handling.
- Maintain strong oversight of learner onboarding, tutor performance, and client satisfaction workflows.
- Conduct regular operations reviews and performance reports to management.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and internal training of new operations or support staff.
- Identify inefficiencies and propose process improvements to drive productivity and accountability.
- Serve as acting lead in the COO’s absence.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and lead operations team to higher heights
Requirements
- Minimum of 4–6 years’ proven experience in operations management, business process coordination, or team supervision.
- Experience in a fast-moving, tech-enabled company is required.
- EdTech or education operations experience (with 1,000+ learners/clients) is a strong advantage.
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and follow-up skills.
- Strong ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and communicate clearly.
- Proficient in Google Workspace tools (Sheets, Docs, Drive) and performance dashboards.
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and professional maturity.
- Must be Lagos-based or willing to work hybrid (remote + occasional physical).
