Job Description
- To provide excellent customer service by attending to guests courteously, processing orders accurately, handling cash transactions efficiently, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment that reflects the brand’s standards.
Responsibilities
Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in making product selections.
- Provide detailed product information, including flavors, ingredients, and promotions.
- Ensure fast, friendly, and professional service at all times.
- Handle customer complaints or feedback courteously and escalate unresolved issues to the Outlet Manager.
- Maintain a positive, cheerful attitude that enhances the guest experience.
Cashiering & Sales Transactions:
- Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system efficiently to process sales, refunds, and discounts.
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments accurately and securely.
- Reconcile cash drawers at the start and end of each shift.
- Issue receipts, process refunds, and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Ensure daily cash deposits are properly recorded and handed over according to company policy.
Order & Product Handling:
- Take and confirm orders correctly to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Work with the production/kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
- Package bakery, pastry, or ice cream items neatly and in line with brand presentation standards.
- Monitor product display, restock shelves, and ensure items are attractively presented and labeled.
Cleanliness & Store Appearance
- Keep the counter, display area, and dining space clean and organized.
- Follow food handling and hygiene standards in all customer-facing activities.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas throughout the day.
Recordkeeping & Reporting:
- Maintain daily sales and transaction records.
- Report low stock levels, POS issues, or customer trends to the Outlet Supervisor.
- Support in inventory counts and product movement tracking as needed.
Requirements
- SSCE / OND / HND in any field (Hospitality or Business-related discipline preferred).
- 1 – 3 years’ experience in a customer service or cashier role within a confectionery, bakery, or QSR environment.
- Basic knowledge of sales and cash handling procedures.
- Familiarity with POS systems and digital payment platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
