Project’s Overview
- GRA is the implementing partner for a portfolio of survivor-centered projects across 19 local government areas in northeast Nigeria. These projects are strategically funded by a diverse group of international partners: the Mukwege Foundation, the Global Survivor Fund (GSF), the French Embassy, and We Are Not Weapons of War (WWOW).
- Through these strategic collaborations, we are working to strengthen the network of Conflict-Related Sexual Violence (CRSV)survivors by providing integrated support.
- This includes offering tailored livelihood empowerment and essential trauma-informed psychosocial servicesto facilitate healing and economic stability.
- We are also building the capacity of survivor-led networks, enabling them to become powerful advocates for their own rights.
- A key component of our work involves utilizing innovative technology by combining direct survivor support with strategic capacity building and cutting-edge technology, we are helping to build a sustainable foundation for resilience and long-term empowerment in the region.
Job Summary
- As a Senior Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) Officer at GRA, you will be a key team member, responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and impact of the organization’s programs.
- You will focus on providing technical expertise in data collection, project monitoring, and program evaluation.
- The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding ofMEALprinciples and proven experience in the non-profit sector.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive MEAL framework for GRA’s programs, ensuring it aligns with our strategic goals.
- Design and conduct program evaluations, which includes data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Develop and utilize monitoring toolsto track program performance and progress toward objectives.
- Analyse MEAL datato identify trends, measure program impact, and inform program improvement.
- Prepare high-quality MEAL reportsand presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of monitoring and evaluation indicatorsfor grant proposals.
- Support staff in integrating MEAL principles into program design and implementation.
- Stay up to date on current MEAL methodologies and best practices.
- Ensure ethical data collection practicesand maintain the confidentiality of all research participants.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure program activities are effectively monitored and evaluated.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
- AÂ master’s degree is a significant advantage.
- A minimum of five years of progressive experience in a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) role, with a strong focus on programs in the non-profit sector.
- Expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and advanced data analysis.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with a proven ability to present complex data clearly to various audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and working effectively with multicultural teams in challenging environments.
Most Preferred Skills:
- Extensive experience managing MEAL systems and processes for projects.
- Proven track record of writing high-quality, data-driven MEAL reports for international funders and stakeholders.
- High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Strong planning, time management, and project management skills.
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and people management skills.
- Proficiency with various data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK) and analysis systems (e.g., SPSS, Stata, Power BI).
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A highly professional, accountable, and proactive approach to work.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proven ability to meet strict deadlines.
- The ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills.
