Purpose of Position:  

  • The Program Associate will provide both technical, administrative and monitoring support for SCALE activities.  The Program Associate will report to the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP). 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Works closely with the Project Advisors to support SCALE partners with implementing project interventions, including coaching, mentoring and field visits, where necessary, and the development of annual workplans. 
  • Provides technical assistance to SCALE SGBV and CEFM (Component 5), backstop the Vulnerable Population
  • Manager and engage with resource partners and clusters on implementation of project activities on behalf of the team. 
  • Represent the component in events and activities and develop reports of participation.    
  • Support Organizational Capacity Assessment of SCALE clusters and select resource partners and provide technical support for documentation of progress made by assessed organizations in implementing their capacity development plans. 
  • Supports project team to organize meetings with partners and other stakeholders.   
  • Maintains smooth relationships with all partners and stakeholders.  
  • Supports generation of monthly and quarterly reports, including success stories, and tracking progress on targets and indicators.  
  • Works with Project Advisors and the MEL team to develop and disseminate information to familiarize target audiences with SCALE project scope and activities.  
  • Maintains technical filing systems for the office.  
  • With support from the MEL team, assist partners to set up and maintain filing systems.   
  • Support project partners to ensure appropriate means of verifications of project results are collated and stored.  
  • Provides secretarial, administrative, and logistical support for meetings and other project events.  
  • Assists with the procurement of materials needed for project events.  
  • Other tasks as deemed necessary by the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP). 

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, accountancy, administration, knowledge management, or related field. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible NGO experience in program management, partner management, monitoring, evaluation and learning, and office operations/administration. 
  • Competency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required 
  • Ability to maintain financial records and prepare financial reports.  
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required. 
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. 
  • Strong oral/written communication skills in English.  
  • Experience with USAID-funded governance programs highly desired
