Job Description
- The Human Resource and Admin Officer is responsible for managing day-to-day HR functions and administrative operations of the organization.
- This role ensures effective implementation of HR policies, employee engagement, recruitment, records management, and smooth administrative support for all departments.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Functions:
- Support the recruitment and onboarding process including job postings, shortlisting, interviews, and orientation.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal HR policies.
- Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
- Monitor staff attendance, leave, and performance appraisal processes.
- Coordinate training and development programs.
- Prepare HR-related reports, memos, and correspondence.
- Promote a healthy workplace culture and employee engagement activities.
Administrative Functions:
- Oversee office supplies, inventory, and facility management.
- Manage correspondences, filing systems, and document control.
- Ensure the office environment is clean, safe, and conducive to work.
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, travel, and staff events.
- Maintain proper records of company assets and service contracts.
- Support management with administrative tasks and reporting.
- Liaise with vendors, service providers, and regulatory bodies as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2 – 4 years of experience in a similar HR/Admin role.
- Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Proficient in MS Office and HR software tools.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CIPM, SHRM) are an added advantage.
