Job Description
- We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Human Resources Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of hands-on experience in the full spectrum of HR functions, with a strong focus on recruitment and compliance.
- This role is crucial for ensuring a positive and productive work environment and making sure our company operates in line with all Nigerian labor laws
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment and Onboarding:Â You’ll manage the complete recruitment lifecycle, from writing job descriptions and posting ads to screening resumes, interviewing, and making job offers. You’ll also handle the onboarding process to ensure new hires are smoothly integrated into the company.
- Employee Relations:Â Act as the main point of contact for employee questions and concerns. You’ll be responsible for resolving workplace disputes, addressing grievances, and fostering a positive and healthy work environment.
- Performance Management: You’ll assist with performance reviews and provide guidance to both managers and employees on performance improvement and career development.
- Compensation and Benefits:Â You’ll help administer payroll and manage employee benefits, including health insurance and retirement plans, ensuring compensation is fair and competitive.
- HR Policies and Compliance:Â You will develop, implement, and enforce company policies to comply with labor laws and regulations.
- Training and Development:You’ll identify training needs within the company and organize professional development programs to help employees grow their skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education:Â A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required, and a professional HR certification is a plus.
- Experience: Must have at least 2 years experience.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with employees at all levels.
- Interpersonal Skills: You must be empathetic and able to handle difficult conversations professionally while building strong relationships with colleagues.
- Knowledge of Labor Laws:A solid understanding of Nigerian labor laws and regulations is a must.
- Problem-Solving: The ability to analyze situations and find effective solutions to workplace issues is key.
- Organization:Strong organizational skills are necessary for managing multiple tasks and maintaining accurate, confidential records.
- Confidentiality: A high level of integrity is required to handle sensitive information with complete discretion.
