Job Title: Front Desk Officer

Job Summary

  • The Front Desk Officer will serve as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and guests, ensuring a professional, welcoming, and efficient reception experience.
  • The role involves managing patient inquiries, coordinating appointments, and supporting administrative processes while upholding the hospital’s standards of service and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and attend to patients and visitors courteously and professionally.
  • Manage patient check-ins, registrations, and appointment scheduling.
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to emails, and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments.
  • Provide accurate information about hospital services, specialists, and facilities.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between reception and clinical departments to reduce patient wait times.
  • Maintain an organized and clean reception area.
  • Verify patient information and update hospital records as required.
  • Process payments for consultations and services, issuing receipts where necessary.
  • Handle patient complaints and feedback professionally, escalating when appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital confidentiality and data protection policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • OND, HND, or Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field.
  • Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably in healthcare.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic hospital information systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Working Conditions:

  • Shift-based work, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • High interaction with patients, families, and medical staff in a fast-paced environment.

Salary
N150,000 – N200,000 / month.
