We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: COO – Healthcare

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop strategic plans and implementing the hospitals operational strategy to improvequality of care, generate revenue, and accomplish organizational objectives
  • Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of various departments: human relations, marketing, finance, IT, etc. and ensuring smooth workflow and efficient resource allocation
  • Financial Management: Developing and Identifying cost saving opportunities by analyzing budgets and financial data and monitoring financial performance.
  • Quality Improvement: Leading initiatives to improve patient care quality, safety, and satisfaction, including monitoring perforance and implementing corrective actions.
  • Patient Care Services: Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care across all departments.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Support and ensure that all departments maintain the requisite regulatory standards set by the various governmental agencies
  • Facilities Management: Overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the hospital’s physical plant and equipment.
  • Human Resources Management:
  • Foster collaboration between departments, staff leadership, and other services to support improvements inpatient outcomes
  • Manage workforce decisions and resource allocation for the organization
  • Manage staffing levels, recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Technology Integration: Overseeing the implementation and use of technology to support hospital operations and patient care.

Operations:

  • Significant (8-10 years) experience in a healthcare administration role in a hospital setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Healthcare Regulations:
  • Understanding of relevant healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of the unique needs and challenges that healthcare organizations face
  • Leadership and Management: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication (Public speaking) and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Financial Acumen: Knowledge of healthcare finance, budgeting, and revenue cycle management.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Ability to identify and resolve complex operational challenges in individual and group settings.
  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.
  • Human Resources management: Ability to work with staff to promote aculturally competentworkplace
  • Knowledge of information systems (such asEHR systems) and data analysis.

Requirements
Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field required
  • Master’s degree in business administration or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in Healthcare.

Reporting Structure:

  • The COO will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the board and serve as a key member of the executive leadership team.
