Job Title: Human Resources Assistant

Location: Awka, Anambra
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Human Resource Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the HR department, helping to ensure smooth functioning of daily HR activities.
  • This role is responsible for assisting with recruitment, employee documentation, onboarding, record-keeping, and general employee support, while ensuring all HR procedures comply with company policies and legal standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain employee records and HR databases, ensuring all information is accurate, up-to-date, and confidential.
  • Assist with recruitment processes, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating communication with candidates.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, such as preparing new hire paperwork and conducting exit procedures.
  • Coordinate HR documentation and compliance tasks, including leave applications, benefits enrollment, and policy adherence.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide administrative support on HR-related matters, escalating issues when needed.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in an HR support or administrative role (preferred).
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word); HRIS experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Salary
N100,000 per month.
