Job Title: Radiographer

Job Summary
- The Radiographer is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations using X-rays and other radiographic modalities.
- The role involves ensuring patient safety, producing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis, and maintaining compliance with radiation protection standards.
Main Duties
- Prepare and position patients for radiographic procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Operate radiographic equipment to produce clear and accurate diagnostic images.
- Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Monitor patients during procedures and provide reassurance.
- Evaluate images for technical quality and repeat if necessary.
- Assist radiologists and physicians in specialized imaging and interventional procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient data and imaging logs.
- Ensure regular maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of radiographic equipment.
- Manage radiographic supplies and report equipment faults.
- Comply with infection control, safety, and professional regulatory standards.
- Participate in professional development activities and training.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Radiography or Medical Imaging.
- Professional license/certification from relevant Nigerian regulatory body.
- Minimum of 1years clinical experience in radiography or related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of radiographic techniques and radiation safety.
- Skilled in operating X-ray and related imaging equipment.
- Good communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Physical ability to assist and position patients.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and on-call duties.
- Commitment to ethical practice and continuous learning.
