Queens Clinic is centrally located in the heart of Abuja, Nigeria, and was established in 1991, as a specialist medical clinic covering family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics & gynaecology, pediatrics, Orthopedic, Urology, General Lab Services and General Surgery, etc. Queens clinic provides her patients with excellent health care with its inpatient facilities and outpatient services, fertility, dental, optometry, accidents, maternity clinics, emergency clinics, etc.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Radiographer

Location: Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Radiographer is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations using X-rays and other radiographic modalities.
  • The role involves ensuring patient safety, producing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis, and maintaining compliance with radiation protection standards.

Main Duties

  • Prepare and position patients for radiographic procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Operate radiographic equipment to produce clear and accurate diagnostic images.
  • Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and provide reassurance.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and repeat if necessary.
  • Assist radiologists and physicians in specialized imaging and interventional procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient data and imaging logs.
  • Ensure regular maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of radiographic equipment.
  • Manage radiographic supplies and report equipment faults.
  • Comply with infection control, safety, and professional regulatory standards.
  • Participate in professional development activities and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Radiography or Medical Imaging.
  • Professional license/certification from relevant Nigerian regulatory body.
  • Minimum of 1years clinical experience in radiography or related field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of radiographic techniques and radiation safety.
  • Skilled in operating X-ray and related imaging equipment.
  • Good communication and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Physical ability to assist and position patients.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and on-call duties.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and continuous learning.
