Job Title: Workshop Assistant
Locations: Bauchi and Niger
Job Purpose
- The purpose is to engage Workshop Assistants to provide support for the Maternal Newborn and Child Health Week Post-Event Survey Trainings of Personnels: Research Assistants/Data Collectors, and Supervisors.
Scope of Assignment
Specific activities of workshop Assistant:
- Ensure all participants are recorded on the attendance (E-attendance or hard copy attendance).
- Liaise with caterers to keep to feeding times and distribution accordingly.
- Distribute workshop materials to participants as necessary.
- Take photograph of training sessions.
- Set up and operate IT equipment for smooth running of the meeting.
- Do other assigned duties for the smooth running of the workshop.
Deliverables
The successful candidate will deliver the following items:
- Completed and validated participant’s/facilitators attendance list (hard copies and soft copies)
- Collated and validated bank details of facilitator/participants (both hard and soft copy).
- Typed in excel format the list of participants with bank account details.
- E-copy of training pictures with consent obtained.
- At the end of the assignment, provide a summary of the tasks and responsibilities handled by the Workshop Assistant during the training.
Person Specifications
Essential qualifications:
- A minimum of Diploma in any discipline.
- Experience in providing administrative support for workshops and trainings.
- Ability to take notes of meeting.
Skills and competencies:
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong command of Microsoft office suites (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Project packages).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills are required.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team and to handle multiple priorities is required.
