The Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, is one of the new universities established by the Federal Government in 2011 to ameliorate the problem of access to tertiary education in Nigeria, especially in States lacking Federal University presence. The rationale for establishing the Federal University Oye-Ekiti includes, among others, responsive approach to global academic expectations and excellence; access to quality education; and, to inculcate an attitude for lifelong learning.

Job Title: Director, Health Services
Location: Ekiti
The Position
- The Director, University Health Services shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the administration and coordination of all medical services in the University.
- He/She shall be required to provide both professional and administrative leadership to members of staff in the University Medical Centre.
Qualifications
- Possession of MBBS/MBCH from a recognized University, with evidence of permanent registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and evidence of current practising licence.
- Evidence of completion of mandatory housemanship/internship as a Medical Doctor from a recognised tertiary medical institution.
- Must have at least twelve (12) years post-qualifications experience.
- Possession of Higher Degree in the medical related field with fellowship of Nigerian Postgraduate Medical College or its equivalent is compulsory.
- Evidence of administrative skill/position in a University is an added advantage.
Terms and Conditions of Service Applicable to the Position
- The successful applicant shall hold the position for a single term of five (5) years on such conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment.
- The remuneration and other conditions of service are as applicable to the position of the Director, University health Services in all Federal Universities in Nigeria and as may be determined from time to time by the Federal Government of Nigeria/Governing Council of the University.
