Summary
- Are you passionate about open-field farming and experienced in managing vegetable crop production? We are seeking to engagea Farm Supervisor to lead and optimize operations on our cucumber, tomato, and pepper farm.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the daily operations of cucumber, tomato, and pepper production.
- Monitor crop health, manage irrigation schedules, and oversee pest and disease control.
- Ensure timely planting, weeding, fertilizing, pruning, and harvesting of crops.
- Train and manage farm workers, ensuring safety and productivity.
- Maintain farm records including input usage, yield data, and labor schedules.
- Ensure the farm meets quality standards and production targets.
- Collaborate with management on strategy, sales planning, and market alignment.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Production, Horticulture, or a related field is preferred, but practical experience will be strongly considered.
- Must have deep and practical knowledge of cucumber, tomato, and pepper farmingincluding planting, nurturing, disease prevention, and maximizing yield.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on farm supervisory experience managing a vegetable crop farm (especially tomato, cucumber, or pepper).
- Strong understanding of end-to-end farm operations, from land preparation and irrigation to harvesting and post-harvest handling.
- Practical and proactive approach to handling farm-related issues such as crop stress, weather changes, or labor challenges.
- Good leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to work in rural/farm environments and adapt to dynamic agricultural conditions.
- Basic knowledge of farm machinery, equipment maintenance and post-harvest handling techniqueis an added advantage.
