TAAS Group of School is a school made up of Nursery, Primary and Secondary school. The school’s academic programme is divided into two sections: Quran and Arabic section which is handled by specific teachers and the western Educational section handle by different teachers.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Physics Teacher
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured Physics lessons in line with curriculum objectives
- Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities
- Guide students in practical laboratory work, experiments, and scientific investigations
- Promote scientific reasoning and problem-solving through real-life applications of Physics
- Assess, record, and report on students’ progress, strengths, and areas of improvement
- Maintain discipline and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Prepare students for internal and external exams (e.g., WAEC, NECO, IGCSE if applicable)
- Provide academic support to struggling students and identify gifted learners for enrichment
- Collaborate with other Science teachers to align teaching plans and share resources
- Participate actively in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events
- Keep up-to-date with developments in Physics education and teaching best practices.
Requirements and Skills
- B.Sc. / B.Ed Degree in Physics, Physical Sciences, or related fields
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years of teaching experience in a secondary school
- Strong knowledge of Physics curriculum and exam standards (WAEC/NECO/IGCSE)
- Effective classroom management and lesson delivery skills
- Ability to simplify complex Physics concepts for easy understanding
- Experience with science laboratory procedures and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in the use of digital tools and educational technology
- Passionate about teaching and committed to student success
- Team player with a collaborative attitude.
