TAAS Group of School is a school made up of Nursery, Primary and Secondary school. The school’s academic programme is divided into two sections: Quran and Arabic section which is handled by specific teachers and the western Educational section handle by different teachers.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Primary Teacher

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated Primary School Teacher to join our academic team.
  • The ideal candidate will inspire, motivate, and guide young learners while delivering engaging lessons that support academic, emotional, and moral development in line with the school’s curriculum framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across core subjects in line with British/Nigerian curriculum standards
  • Prepare and implement weekly and termly lesson plans and teaching aids
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Use varied teaching strategies to meet the needs of different learning styles and abilities
  • Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and support
  • Maintain accurate records of academic performance and classroom behavior
  • Establish clear expectations for discipline and classroom routines
  • Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to support school-wide goals
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and welfare
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development sessions
  • Uphold and model the values and policies of the school.

Requirements and Skills

  • Minimum of NCE, B.Ed., or B.Sc. with PGDE in Education or other courses
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience in a reputable primary school
  • Strong command of English language (spoken and written)
  • Excellent classroom management and instructional skills
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and digital teaching tools
  • Creativity, patience, and a child-centered approach to teaching
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute positively to school life
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Knowledge of Montessori or British curriculum is an added advantage.
