Job Title: Data Analyst

Job Objectives
- The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to support strategic decision-making across the organization.
- This role involves creating meaningful reports, dashboards, and visualizations that provide actionable insights to various departments.
- The analyst will work closely with key stakeholders to understand business needs, identify trends, and present data-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency, customer engagement, and business performance within a fast-paced fintech environment.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Build, automate, and maintain dashboards and reports for business units to track KPIs and business performance.
- Translate complex data findings into clear and concise narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with departments such as Product, Marketing, Risk, and Finance to understand data needs and deliver customized insights.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to support product development, customer behavior understanding, and operational improvements.
- Assist in the design and implementation of data models to support forecasting, segmentation, and predictive analytics.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems and support data governance efforts.
- Monitor data quality and help resolve discrepancies in data reporting.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in analytics, especially within fintech.
- Support A/B testing, market segmentation, and campaign performance analysis.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Data Science, or related field.
- A Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, or related discipline is an advantage.
General Experience:
- Understanding of fintech business models and digital financial products is an added advantage.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and extraction.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Strong skills in Excel, and at least one programming language such as Python or R.
- Understanding of relational databases, data structures, and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and data mining techniques.
- Familiarity with A/B testing, cohort analysis, and time-series forecasting.
Certifications:
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, or equivalent are beneficial.
Experience:
- 4–6 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles, preferably in a fintech or technology-driven environment.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver within tight deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
