Efezi Southsea Nigeria Limited – Established in 2009, Efezi Southsea Nigeria Limited is a hospitality consultancy firm specializing in providing expert services to small and medium-sized hotels.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Hotel Security Operative (Male)

Locations: Ikeja & Magodo, Lagos

Responsibilties
Access Control:

  • Monitor and control entry and exit points of the hotel.
  • Ensure only authorized persons gain access to restricted areas.
  • Maintain a log of visitors, staff, and vehicles where applicable.

Surveillance & Monitoring:

  • Observe CCTV footage to detect and report suspicious activity.
  • Conduct routine patrols (day and night) within and around the hotel to deter and detect security breaches.

Asset Protection:

  • Safeguard hotel property, equipment, and other valuables.
  • Prevent theft, vandalism, and damage to hotel facilities.

Guest & Staff Safety:

  • Ensure the personal safety of guests and staff members.
  • Respond promptly to incidents such as altercations, theft, or medical emergencies.
  • Assist in evacuation procedures during emergencies (e.g., fire or bomb threat).

Incident Reporting & Documentation:

  • Accurately document all security-related incidents in a daily logbook or incident report.
  • Report emergencies or unusual occurrences to the relevant department or management promptly.

Enforcement of Hotel Rules & Regulations:

  • Ensure guests and staff comply with hotel policies, including smoking areas, restricted zones, and noise control.
  • Prevent unauthorized business activities, such as hawking or solicitation, within the premises.

Emergency Response & Crisis Management:

  • Act swiftly in emergencies, such as fire outbreaks, accidents, or criminal incidents.
  • Coordinate with local authorities (police, fire service, etc.) when needed.

Parking and Traffic Control:

  • Oversee parking areas to ensure orderliness and proper use by guests and staff.
  • Prevent unauthorized parking and control vehicle movements within the hotel compound.

Customer Service Support:

  • Provide courteous assistance to guests, such as giving directions or helping with minor requests.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Night Duties (Where Applicable):

  • Special focus on securing access points, monitoring quiet zones, and preventing nighttime incidents.
  • Increased patrol frequency to ensure guest safety during overnight hours.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications with at least 2 years work experience.
