We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Auditor
Location: Fadeyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement risk-based audit approaches, leading audit teams during fieldwork.
- Conduct comprehensive audits of financial statements, processes, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Examine financial statements to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to accounting standards.
- Identify discrepancies or irregularities and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Recommend enhancements to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, conclusions, and actionable recommendations.
- Communicate audit results to senior management and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Ensure that financial practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and accounting standards to provide accurate guidance.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial operations.
- Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications & Skills
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, ICAN, or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Experience:Â 2-4 years in an auditing firm, with a strong understanding of audit methodologies and regulations.
Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Work Environment & Compensation:
- Typically, office-based with potential travel to client sites.
- May involve extended working hours during peak audit periods.
