Job Title: Store Manager

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time, Onsite
Work Schedule: Tuesday – Sunday

Job Summary

  • In this role, The Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, making sure it runs smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the leadership team, ensuring the store is always on target to achieve the set financial targets
  • Monitor team sales targets & other metrics, provide feedback and analysis to the leadership team
  • Manage team and resources to maximize sales, traffic flow, and customer engagement
  • Manage the sales floor with agility, changing direction & continuously improving based on key indicators and lessons learned
  • Lead the team by example in the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Model and supervise the selling environment, providing consistent coaching on sales, product and client training in order to ensure the highest level of customer service and sales
  • Ensure disciplined control of resources.
  • Lead by example; train, guide and coach the sales team staff on styling, selling & service skills, driving them to create transformational customer experiences & exceed sales targets.
  • Customize the customer experience for different segments and demographics
  • Maintain a “One Company” perspective on company policies such as: refunds, returns, alterations etc. that are critical to a positive customer experience
  • Handle all complaints and ensure total customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrate a strong use of selling skills and an ability to drive personal sales, building store clientele
  • Ensure visual merchandising and maintenance standards are met at all times.
  • Ensure proper execution of store opening and closing procedures
  • Accurately process all POS transactions, capture of customer information, and inventory functions such as receiving of inventory, transfers, repairs, damages, etc. to maintain the integrity of the inventory
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures with a focus on loss prevention and operational excellence
  • Take ownership for maintaining a high standard of store maintenance including daily cleaning, exterior store maintenance, furniture, fixtures, upholstered items, lighting, etc.
  • Ensure store has all the necessary supplies at all times (e.g., shopping bags, wrapping tissue, POS receipt rolls etc. toiletries printing paper, etc.)
  • Manage team in a strategic, business focused manner, ensuring effective scheduling around peak periods and key events
  • Understand the importance of efficient store operations & support the leadership team in achieving this
  • Ensure full adhere to all operational procedures
  • Ensure strong partnership with the leadership team to ensure alignment & timely two-way communication
  • Hold daily team meetings to review individual sales goals, and other key performance indicators.
  • Lead by example and model behavior that reflects the company’s core values
  • Appropriately manage conflict and take ownership for your part in the team dynamic
  • Assist the leadership team to manage overall team performance & growth
  • Hold people accountable to a high standard of excellence

  • Understand and communicate the brand aesthetic, brand philosophy and lifestyle to the associates and the customer
  • Emulate the brand aesthetic & embody a strong sense of fashion sensibility and an enthusiastic attitude
  • Assist the leadership team, taking ownership for maintaining the brand aesthetic across all touch points including team physical presentation- dress code, visual standards, maintenance and merchandising to create a fully branded environment.
  • Assist the leadership in continuous monitoring of actual expenditures to be within budget.
  • Understand that safety paramount and ensure that the team complies with all safety guidelines
  • Ensure that the team understands and can execute emergency operating procedures
  • Give daily/weekly sales reports to the Sales Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Business Administration, Marketing or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the fashion industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail operating software
  • Good at basic arithmetic.
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Proactive with a sense of self-direction
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Good commercial awareness
  • Ability to navigate stressful situations.
  • Must be willing to take initiative, work autonomously, and tackle complex situations

  • Must have a can-do attitude and the ability to drive oneself to meet external and internal deadlines.

Salary
N400,000 – N600,000 Monthly.
