Job Title: Protection Team Lead
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Employment Type: Contract
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management:
- Supervising and guiding protection staff in the implementation of protection activities.
- Developing and implementing work plans, ensuring efficient workload distribution and monitoring progress.
- Providing technical support and guidance to staff, including capacity building and training.
- Fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
Program Implementation:
- Overseeing the implementation of protection activities, such as case management, referrals, and community-based protection initiatives.
- Ensuring that protection principles are mainstreamed across all program activities.
- Contributing to the development and adaptation of protection monitoring tools and frameworks.
- Conducting protection monitoring, including data collection and analysis, to identify protection concerns and needs.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of referral pathways.
- Representing the organization in relevant protection coordination meetings and forums.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and other organizations.
- Ensuring effective communication and information sharing within the team and with other departments.
- Drafting protection monitoring reports and providing input into program reports.
- Ensuring that all activities are in compliance with donor and organizational policies and procedures.
- Contributing to the development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact of protection interventions.
Qualifications
- Interested candidates should possess an HND, Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with 3-7 years experience.
