Job Title: Team Lead, Corporate Banking
Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Lagos
Grade: Deputy Manager / Manager
Job Purpose
- To lead a team of relationship managers in driving business growth by managing and expanding a portfolio of corporate clients, delivering tailored financial solutions, ensuring portfolio quality, and achieving revenue targets in line with the bank’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies for acquiring new corporate clients and deepening relationships with existing ones.
- Lead the team in originating and structuring credit and non-credit products tailored to client needs (loans, trade finance, treasury, cash management, etc.).
- Monitor portfolio performance to ensure revenue targets, credit quality, and client satisfaction goals are met.
- Oversee the preparation of credit proposals, financial analysis, and risk assessments in line with bank policies and regulatory standards.
- Serve as the main liaison between the bank and key corporate clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Credit Risk, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Operations) to ensure smooth deal execution.
- Monitor industry and market trends to identify new opportunities and manage risks within the portfolio.
- Coach, mentor, and supervise the relationship management team to enhance productivity and professional development.
- Prepare periodic reports for senior management on portfolio performance, risks, pipeline, and opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field/ relevant qualifications.
- Experience in corporate banking or relationship management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven track record in credit structuring, portfolio management, and revenue generation.
