Job Summary
- We are looking for a qualified Tech Support Officer to join our IT team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for hardware, new technology, networking, and applications.
- This role requires vast knowledge in different operating systems, proficiency in Microsoft/Office 365, and all related applications.
- Proficiency in Bank one operations will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and resolve issues related to the bank’s software applications, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing downtime.
- Provide technical support for hardware issues, including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
- Stay updated with the latest technology trends and provide support for new technology implementations.
- Offer networking support, including configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network systems.
- Provide application support for various software used within the organization, ensuring smooth operation and resolving any issues that arise.
- Support and maintain different operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), ensuring they are updated and functioning efficiently.
- Manage and support Microsoft/Office 365 applications, including setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Document technical issues and resolutions to help build a knowledge base for future reference.
- Train staff on new technologies and software applications to ensure they are used effectively.
- Develop strategies for improving IT services and support.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures and maintain a high level of security for all IT systems.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including end-users, developers, and management, providing regular updates on support activities, issue resolution, and system status.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3 – 5 years proven experience in a tech support role, with strong technical knowledge of hardware, new technology, networking, and application support.
- Extensive knowledge of various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Proficiency in Microsoft/Office 365 applications and the ability to support and troubleshoot issues related to these applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support and train staff.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to document technical issues and resolutions accurately.
- A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies.
