Job Description

  • We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria.
  • As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings throughout the Lagos area.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in various buildings
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings to ensure proper installation
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems using appropriate testing devices
  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals to coordinate project activities
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining electrical issues and solutions to clients
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress
  • Respond to emergency calls and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies in the electrical field

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an electrician
  • Valid electrical certification or license recognized in Nigeria
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems installation, maintenance, and repair
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various positions
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to different job sites within Lagos
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work overtime or on weekends when required
  • Knowledge of local electrical standards and practices in Nigeria (preferred)
