Job Title: Compressor Mechanic
Location: Kano

Role Summary
- We are looking for a compressor mechanic to maintain, repair,and overhaul various types of compressors, including those used in the industry’s natural gas, and air compressor systems.
- You will be responsible to diagnose problems, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure the safe and efficient operation of all machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair compressors, engines, pumps, and related equipment.
- Identify mechanical, electrical, and other system failures using diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Disassemble, inspect,repair, and reassemble compressor components.
- Conduct regular inspections, oil and fluid analysis, and other preventative measures to minimize downtime.
- Work in compliance with safety regulations and ensuring the safe operation of equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Provide technical advice and support to clients on compressor maintenance and repairs.
- Install, commission, and start up new compressor systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Requirements
Experience:
- 2 – 5 years of experience in troubleshooting industrial or commercial mechanical systems, with specific experience in compressed air systems.
Education:
- OND or SSCE certificate
- An apprenticeship certificate from a workshop is an added advantage
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and other system issues.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and reading technical manuals.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and working in various conditions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and the Head of Department.
- Commitment to safety procedures and regulations.
