Job Title: Senior Production Engineer

Role Summary
- We are looking for a production engineer to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- This involves designing and implementing production plans, monitoring performance, identifying areas for improvement, and troubleshooting production issues.
- Ensuring all aspects of the manufacturing process work together harmoniously to produce high-quality carpets efficiently and cost-effectively.
Responsibilities
- Creating and executing plans for carpet production, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow design.
- Analyzing existing processes, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing changes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
- Implementing and monitoring quality control procedures to ensure carpets meet established standards.
- Investigating and resolving problems that arise during the production process, such as equipment malfunctions or material defects.
- Monitoring production expenses and implementing strategies to minimize costs without compromising quality.
- Collaborating with departments like design, purchasing, and sales to ensure smooth production operations.
- Enforcing safety protocols and ensuring the workplace adheres to safety regulations.
- Educating employees on new technologies, processes, and safety procedures.
- Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and generating reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Skills and Qualifications
- B.Sc/HND in Textile Engineering
- 5 – 10 years proven work experience
- Understanding of carpet manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments.
- Ability to motivate and guide production staff.
Experience:
- Previous work experience in textile company
- Knowledge of weaving machines is an added advantage
