We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Fund Transfer Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilties

  • Ensuring operational efficiency within the branch in line with banking regulations/regulatory requirement.
  • Maintaining and balancing all reconciling discrepancies.
  • Handling transactions, and confidential information in a responsible manner.
  • Using software to track bank information and generate reports.
  • Following all bank financial and security regulations and procedures.
  • Ensuring customers’ instructions are properly reviewed before processing
  • Ensure all remittances for customers and regulatory agencies are handled within the agreed time-frame;
  • Ensure daily and weekly balancing of internal funds transfer accounts such as Manager’s Cheques, Cash Advance, etc;
  • Maintain proper records of funds transfer transactions; ensure maintenance and effective utilization of physical assets and resources (adding machines, workstations, stamps till boxes etc.).
  • Ensuring excellent interpersonal relations with customers and addressing/resolving customer service issues.
  • Update, monitor and maintain proper accounting records and documentation of the branch transactions to prevent fraud and irregularities and safeguard assets of the bank.
  • Review Incoming/Outgoing clearing cheques to ensure timely/proper booking of same in conformity with Clearing/Bank’s procedure.
  • Timely verification of daily transactions and ensuring appropriateness of both transactions and postings above tellers’ limits.
  • Ensure timely posting of customers’ funds transfer requests.

Requirements

  • B.Sc or HND qualification with 1 – 4 years work experience
  • Exceptional time management, communication, and customer service skills.
  • High level of accountability, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
  • Strong communication and people skills
