Job Overview
- We are seeking a highly organized and proactive House Manager to oversee the smooth operation of a residential home.
- The successful candidate will coordinate daily household activities, work closely with the chefs, and ensure timely procurement and restocking of all necessary items.
- Additionally, the House Manager will ensure that deep cleaning of the residence is conducted twice weekly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the household efficiently and professionally.
- Collaborate closely with the chefs to coordinate meal planning, kitchen inventory, and restocking of food and supplies.
- Schedule and oversee cleaning activities, ensuring deep cleaning is done twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays).
- Maintain inventory of household supplies and place orders in a timely manner to avoid shortages.
- Manage household staff schedules and ensure duties are performed to a high standard.
- Monitor household expenses and assist in budget management.
- Handle basic administrative tasks including sending and receiving mail correspondence.
- Use Microsoft Excel for record-keeping, inventory tracking, and basic reporting.
- Address any household issues promptly and ensure the home environment is comfortable and well-maintained.
- Report regularly to the homeowner on household status and needs.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess a BSc Degree with 1 year work experience.Â
- Literate with the ability to read and write effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data entry and simple reporting.
- Ability to send and receive email correspondence professionally.
- Previous experience as a House Manager or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and discreet.
- Basic knowledge of household management and procurement.
- Flexibility to work the specified schedule.
Work Schedule:
- The House Manager will follow a rotating schedule comprising 7 consecutive days on duty with 24-hour availability, followed by 5 days off. Out of the 7 days off,2 days will be dedicated to deep cleaning and inventory management.
Salary
N150,000 – N180,000 per month.
