Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Description
- The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various types of filling machines, shrink and sleeving machines, pumps, small gearboxes, and other mechanical systems.
- This role is essential for ensuring optimal equipment performance and minimizing production downtime.
Responsibilities
- Install, operate, and maintain various types of filling machines (liquid, paste, or powder).
- Conduct mechanical maintenance and repair of shrink and sleeving packaging machines.
- Maintain and service different types of pumps including centrifugal and gear pumps.
- Inspect and repair small gearboxes and mechanical drive systems.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Collaborate with other technical teams for process improvement and troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Support installation and commissioning of new mechanical equipment.
- Perform any other mechanical and maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- B.Eng. / HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3 – 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise with filling machines, shrink/sleeving machines, pumps, and gearboxes.
- Strong mechanical diagnostic and repair skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and machinery manuals.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with maintenance documentation and reporting.
