Job Title: Splicing Technicians
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- We are looking for Splicing Technicians who are skilled, detail-oriented, and passionate about building the future of connectivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform fiber optic splicing (core alignment & fusion splicing) for new builds, repairs, and upgrades.
- Conduct OTDR, power meter, and light source testing to ensure optimal splicing quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve fiber optic network issues promptly.
- Interpret and work from network diagrams, schematics, and construction blueprints.
- Maintain splicing equipment and ensure job site safety and cleanliness.
- Document work completed with accurate reporting and labelling.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fiber splicing (FTTH/FTTB/FTTX preferred).
- Familiar with OTDR, fusion splicers (e.g. Fujikura, Sumitomo), and fiber scopes.
- Solid understanding of fiber color codes and cable architecture.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Willingness to travel or work flexible hours based on project needs.
- Certification in fiber optics (CFOT or equivalent) is an advantage.
