Job Title: General Manager & Business Development Manager – Logistics
Location: Lagos

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve overall logistics business and operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
- Manage and lead a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align logistics strategies with overall business objectives.
- Drive business growth Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high service levels and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and safety guidelines.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, vendors, and other external partners to enhance operational efficiency and negotiate favorable terms.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in logistics management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics Management or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
- Proven experience (10+ years) in a leadership role within the logistics industry or related field.
- In-depth knowledge of logistics operations including transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control systems, etc.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams as well as external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team towards common goals while fostering a positive work environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach towards resolving issues promptly.
- Proficiency in using logistics software and MS Office Suite.
