The Opportunity

  • Plan International is on a mission to solidify its position as a dual-mandated humanitarian actor, with an aim to expand funding for emergency programming. We are seeking a dynamic and skilled individual to take on the role of Humanitarian Fundraising Project Lead.
  • In this key position, you will act as the central focal point, coordinating a diverse range of stakeholders to drive and diversify flexible humanitarian fundraising across the organization.
  • Your role will involve the development and delivery of high-quality fundraising packages, content, communications, concepts, and emergency appeals, as well as overseeing effective income (FOA) management, distribution, reporting, and training. You will help enhance the ability of National Organisations to grow flexible income that resonates with global audiences, ultimately increasing our humanitarian impact.
  • Collaboration is key to this role. You will work closely with various teams, including the Global Fundraising Support Team, Humanitarian Team, Communications, Country and Regional Offices, and National Organisations to achieve success.

The Person

  • You should have a relevant University Degree or equivalent experience, along with excellent project management skills.
  • You possess a deep understanding of innovative fundraising strategies, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, and a genuine interest in humanitarian programming.
  • You have demonstrable experience in humanitarian fundraising, ideally within an INGO environment, and are comfortable working with diverse, matrixed teams.
  • You are fluent in English and excel at building relationships with various stakeholders.
  • With a results-driven, solution-oriented mindset, you thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing environments and ensure high-quality outcomes through strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
