Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor (Steel, Heavy Products)
Location: Ilupeju, Lagos

Key Responsibilities
Production Management:
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Ensure the smooth functioning of machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Monitor and optimize production processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality improvement.
- Collaborate with the maintenance and Quality control teams to address any production issues promptly.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of production staff to ensure high levels of performance and engagement.
- Implement training and development programs to enhance the technical and operational skills of team members.
- Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure smooth communication between team members and other departments
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate production records and prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Assist the Production Manager in developing and implementing production strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance production efficiency.
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
- Achievement of production targets within specified timelines and budgets.
- Consistent product quality in compliance with industry standards.
- Effective leadership, resulting in high team morale and low attrition rates.
- Reduction in machine downtime and operational costs.
- Adherence to safety protocols and zero-incident operations.
Qualifications and Skills
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management, preferably in the steel or heavy manufacturing industry.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of drum manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies.
- Proficiency in production planning and scheduling software.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles (certification preferred).
Leadership and Management Skills:
- Exceptional Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage a diverse workforce.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
