We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: CNC Operator

Location: Odogunyan Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Production Supervisor/Team Leader

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and skilled CNC Operator to join our production team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Operation: Operate CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and grinders, to produce parts and components to specified tolerances and quality standards.
  • Programming and Setup: Write, edit, and prove-out CNC programs, including setting up machines, fixtures, and tools.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and test parts and components to ensure they meet quality and tolerance standards.
  • Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production, including work orders, production schedules, and quality control documents.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with other production team members, including machinists, inspectors, and supervisors, to ensure efficient and effective production.

Requirements

  • SSCE, OND, HND, B.Sc.
  • Trade Qualification: Hold a recognized trade qualification in CNC machining, such as a certificate or diploma in CNC machining or a related field.
  • Experience: Have at least 2 years of experience operating CNC machines, preferably in a production environment.
  • CNC Programming Skills: Proficient in CNC programming languages, such as G-code or M-code.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Possess mechanical aptitude, including a good understanding of mechanical principles, including mechanics, thermodynamics, and hydraulics.
  • Attention to Detail: Have a high level of attention to detail, including the ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
