Job Title: Lead Instrumentation and Controls Engineer

Job Description
- Develop and implement long-term I&C strategies aligned with company objectives and industry best practices.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of new technologies to enhance plant efficiency, safety, and environmental performance.
- Provide I&C leadership throughout all project phases: from design and construction to commissioning and operation.
- Ensure I&C design integrity by reviewing drawings, specifications, and contractor work, ensuring compliance with standards and codes.
- Develop and optimize control systems by designing, modifying, and testing control logic to achieve desired performance and reliability.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and capital project assessments for I&C improvements.
Requirements
- First Degree or equivalent in Engineering Degree (Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation) or European Equivalent (HND/C – BTEC Cert)
- Minimum 12 years’ experience in Instrumentation and Controls design, engineering and construction projects in oil and gas industry – specific experience with complex instrumentation and control systems. At least 5 years in a senior role overseeing project design and onsite commissioning of plants
- Strong knowledge of PLC/DCS systems, control valves, instrumentation, and field devices.
- Experience with safety instrumented systems (SIS) and functional safety assessments.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as HMI/SCADA, engineering software, and data analysis tools.
