Assignment :
Reporting to the Head of the Advocacy Unit – Civil Society Unit, this internship is at the crossroads of many themes and in connection with a very wide variety of stakeholders. To this end, we are looking for an assistant capable of:
Mission 1: Participate in the drafting of an advocacy report on the financing of aid localization.
Analyze Official Development Assistance (ODA) figures using statistical and econometric methods.
Analyze the structure of ODA and the positions of institutional donors and identify potential strategic recommendations.
Case study research
Contribute to updating the power mapping on localization and ODA: Allies (civil society movements around the world, NGOs I based in France) and targets (institutions, departments of various ministries, etc.)
Mission 2: Support the strategic thinking of the “Civil Society” advocacy unit
Carry out bibliographic research on various themes: ODA, Localization of aid, Preservation of civic space.
Write advocacy tools such as policy briefs and position papers.
Mission 3: Support the Civil Society Pole in its activities:
Hosting two webinars to appropriate the “Turnkey Advocacy” tool with country offices and local partners
Participating in the activities of the delegated advocacy department.
The theme of localization is central to this internship, based on three main axes: Capacity, Accountability and Representativeness. Working on these themes has created a solid knowledge base for your future career in an International NGO.
Profile:
You are preparing a Bac+4/5 in Economics, geopolitics or development issues (major business schools, IEP, major universities, etc.). Ideally, a first experience in econometrics is a plus.
You have an analytical profile, and an appetite for research and analysis work.
Mastery of Excel (advanced level) is required.
Conditions of employment
– Mandatory Condition: Have an internship agreement issued by a French law educational institution
– Duration of the Internship: 6 months (based in Montreuil, 102 rue de Paris)
– Desired Start Date: 03/12/2025
– Salary Conditions: Internship compensated at a rate of 4.57 euros net per hour (based on 35 hours per week). Weekly working hours (38.75 hours). Meal vouchers at 8 EUR (60% covered by ACF). Coverage of 50% of public transport costs.
-Teleworking: There is an ACF teleworking policy which defines the activities of the position requiring a mandatory presence time at the association’s headquarters, and allows you to choose to carry out part of the work by teleworking. A mandatory presence at the ACF headquarters of 6 days/month, and 2 days per week during the first 6 weeks of work has been defined for this position. Times spent at headquarters will also be dedicated to collective sharing: 3 days per month on average for meetings and collective events and 2 days of mandatory presence during the first 6 weeks when you join the team.
