Job Description
- We are looking for a dynamic Fundraising Manager to drive our fundraising efforts, securing both pre-seed funding from private investors and grants from institutional donors while leveraging accelerator/incubation funding programs to support expansion.
- As a Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing fundraising strategies that align with themission and growth objectives. Your primary focus will be to secure financial support from a mix of private investors, grant-making bodies, and startup accelerators/incubators.
Responsibilities
Fundraising Strategy Development:
- Design and implement a fundraising roadmap to meet pre-seed funding targets.
- Identify and engage potential private investors, venture capitalists, and impact investors.
- Develop grant proposals and apply for funding from global and local foundations, NGOs, and government programs.
- Research and secure opportunities from accelerators and incubation programs.
Donor & Investor Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, grant providers, and funding institutions.
- Develop and deliver compelling investment pitches and grant applications.
- Representin networking events, pitch competitions, and fundraising forums.
Financial Planning & Reporting:
- Work closely with the finance team to create and present financial projections, budgets, and impact reports.
- Ensure transparent tracking and reporting of funds raised and their impact.
Partnership Development:
- Identify and establish partnerships with corporate sponsors, NGOs, and ecosystem players to support fundraising efforts.
- Collaborate with accelerator / incubation programs to secure funding and mentorship.
Marketing & Awareness:
- Work with the marketing team to develop fundraising campaigns across social media, crowdfunding platforms, and donor networks.
- Create impactful storytelling content to engage funders and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, and investor relations.
- Strong knowledge of accelerator/incubation programs and how to leverage them for funding.
- Existing network of private investors, venture capitalists, and grant-making organizations is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and pitching skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely while coordinating with leadership team.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to present financial and impact reports to investors and donors.
- Passionate about menstrual health, gender equality, and social impact initiatives.
Preferred Experience
- Prior success in securing pre-seed or early-stage funding for startups or social enterprises.
- Experience in impact-driven fundraising and knowledge of global funding trends in menstrual health, women’s empowerment, and social entrepreneurship.
- Familiarity with crowdfunding platforms and digital fundraising strategies.
