Job Description
- Plan, execute, and oversee preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of all electrical systems, including generators, motors, switchgear, transformers, and control systems.
- Participate in the design, installation, and commissioning of new electrical equipment and systems.
- Diagnose electrical faults, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely repairs and restoration of systems.
- Ensure all electrical systems comply with local and international standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical maintenance in line with knowledge of various types of electrical motor, control system, switch gear etc.
- Professional certifications such as COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria), NSE (Nigerian Society of Engineers), or equivalent international certifications (e.g., IEEE, IET).
- Advanced knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC). Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems used in oil and gas facilities, including HV/LV distribution, electrical protection systems, and instrumentation.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for complex electrical systems.
- Ability to analyze technical data and operational trends to optimize system performance.
- Ability to enforce a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
