We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA / QC) Officer

Locations: Abuja (FCT), Delta, Enugu, Kaduna, Kano, Lagos, Plateau & Rivers

Job Summary

  • The QA/QC Officer will oversee the quality and safety of energy meter installations, an ancillary, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory bodies such as NEMSA and NERC as well as upholding the company’s policies.
  • The ideal candidate will combine diagnostic expertise with the ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions, driving improvements across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and inspect installations (Spot Checking) to ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory guidelines, client requirement and company policies.
  • Collaborate with field technicians, installers, Project teams as well as relevant stakeholders to address and rectify quality issues promptly.
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations as defined by NEMSA and NERC.
  • Serve as a liaison between the company and regulatory bodies, keeping the organization updated on evolving requirements.
  • Perform diagnostic tests to assess installation performance and reliability.
  • Identify root causes of inefficiencies and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Analyze workflows to identify gaps in efficiency and propose optimization strategies.
  • Develop and implement QA/QC best practices to enhance project outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, issues, and resolutions.
  • Prepare regular quality reports using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Provide support to resolve customer concerns related to quality and safety.
  • Demonstrate a customer-centric approach in handling complaints and feedback.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance and control within the energy or metering industry.
  • At least a Six Sigma (Yellow Belt) is highly desirable.
  • Deep understanding of industry regulatory bodies (EMSA, NERC) and their roles in the metering industry.
  • Proficient diagnostic skills to assess and resolve technical issues.
  • Strong problem-solving ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Solid engineering foundation with hands-on expertise in electrical systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Able to integrate seamlessly with diverse multinational teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-centric mindset with the ability to manage feedback professionally.
