Job Title: Finance and Admin Officer
Reports To: Programs Officer/ Head of Finance
Location: Lagos, Edo, and Kano

Job Summary

The Finance and Admin Officer will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements and will also provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare month-end closure reports, bank resolutions, etc. from the accounting software.
  • Participate in audit exercise.
  • Coordinate the timely payment of statutory deductions of PAYE, WHT, and other taxes.
  • Provide support with the accounting workflow in the review and audit of the organization.
  • Prepare financial reports to monitor and track obligations and expenditures.
  • Participate actively by assisting in project budget development. 
  • Provide support to the technical team in monitoring sub-project budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Oversee the daily administrative functions of the office to ensure smooth operations.
  • Coordinate procurement processes, including vendor selection, purchase orders, and contract management, ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
  • Support the organization of meetings, training sessions, and workshops, providing logistical and administrative support.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for financial and administrative records, ensuring accessibility and confidentiality.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • BSc. /BA degree in Accounting, Finance, and Business Administration or a related field.
  • Professional certification in a relevant field of expertise is an added advantage.
  • Proven work experience of at least (2) years.
