Job Title: Logistics officer (Driver)
Reports To: Programs Officer and Operations Manager
Location: Lagos, Edo, Oyo, Ebonyi and Kano
Job Summary
The logistics officer shall provide transportation support to the team on the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Convey Staff and Consultants to designated approved locations.
- Ensure adequate safety, cleanliness, security, and maintenance of the project vehicle assigned.
- Ensure proper day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle through timely minor repairs, arrangements for major repairs, timely changes of oil, check of tires, brakes, car washing, etc.
- Ensure availability of all the required documents/supplies including vehicle insurance, vehicle logs, office directory, and necessary spare parts.
- Plan routes and requirements by studying the schedule or ad-hoc request by the office.
- Ensure passengers adhere to all road safety regulations.
- Fulfill special requests by picking up and delivering items as directed and running errands.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- A minimum SSCE certificate is required.
- A valid driver’s license and at least one year of driving experience to perform the job safely.
- Proficiency in using navigation applications to find delivery locations.
- Time management and organizational skills to keep track of deliveries and stay on schedule.
- Physical stamina and good upper body strength to lift heavy luggage, packages, and objects, as well as be able to load and unload them from their vehicle.
