Job Title: Logistic Supervisor

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistic Supervisor with solid Logistic management experience to join our restaurant team.

Responsibilities
Logistics Operations Management:

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor all logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to customers or retail locations.

Team Supervision:

  • Lead, train, and supervise logistics staff, including drivers, warehouse personnel, and clerks.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with operational standards.

Inventory Control:

  • Oversee stock levels and ensure accurate inventory records are maintained.
  • Conduct regular audits and reconcile discrepancies in inventory.

Transportation Coordination:

  • Manage transportation schedules to optimize delivery routes and minimize costs.
  • Coordinate with third-party logistics providers and ensure adherence to contracts and service agreements.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with transportation, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Implement and enforce workplace safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

Problem Resolution:

  • Address and resolve any operational challenges, such as delayed deliveries, damaged goods, or customer complaints.
  • Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks or disruptions in the supply chain.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory levels.
  • Prepare regular reports on logistics performance, costs, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Cost Management:

  • Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage logistics budgets effectively.

Technology and Systems:

  • Utilize logistics software or systems to streamline operations and improve tracking.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and recommend system upgrades or changes.

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Communicate effectively with management to align logistics strategies with business goals.

Skills and Requirements
Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is an advantage.

  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong planning and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Quick thinking and decision-making abilities to address logistics challenges.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing data and metrics to optimize logistics operations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to coordinate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with logistics software, warehouse management systems (WMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in inventory management, documentation, and reporting.
  • Customer Service Skills: Ability to address customer concerns and ensure a positive experience with delivery services.
  • Financial Acumen: Capability to manage budgets, control costs, and negotiate with vendors.
  • Physical Stamina: Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment that may require physical activity, such as warehouse visits.

Experience:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations, with at least 1 – 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in a specific industry (e.g., retail, manufacturing) is an advantage.

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of local and international shipping regulations (if applicable).
  • Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s license and familiarity with transportation regulations are a plus.

Remuneration

  • Salary: N100,000 – N120,000 Monthly.
  • Accommodation will be provided.
