Job Summary

  • Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join their team.
  • You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, contributing to the overall financial health of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage general ledger accounts, ensuring proper classification and recording of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to accounting principles and best practices.
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
  • Generate financial reports and analyze financial data to support informed decision-making.
  • Maintain a strong internal control system to safeguard financial assets.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant tax regulations and accounting standards.
  • Payroll administration and compliance with statutory deductions and payments (e.g. PAYE, Pension Contribution, etc.).
  • Perform other accounting tasks as assigned.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or a related field.
  • Professional accounting certification (ACA, ACCA, or ICAN) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Sage 50, or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
