Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Job Summary

  • The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will be responsible for coordinating monitoring, evaluation and reporting of project results.

Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee the collection of quantitative and qualitative data to measure program outcomes and impact
  • Generate program specific documents such as success stories and impact reports
  • Ensure the quality of M&E related data collected; and develop learning documents from the results of M&E
  • Manage evaluations/studies as required
  • Work with the project team to ensure the collection of relevant and appropriate data needed for an effective M&E system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Evaluation or Social Sciences, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation
  • Demonstrable M & E experience from a governance/democracy/human rights donor-funded project(s) in the NGO sector
  • Good knowledge of programme implementation, monitoring and evaluation techniques, practices and methodologies
  • Experience in strategic planning and performance measurement, including indicator selection, target setting, reporting, database management, and developing M&E and performance monitoring plans
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and deliver tasks on time to meet goals in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of donor reporting requirements and familiarity with best practices in M&E within the non-profit sector
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
