Job Description

  • A Content/Social Media Manager is responsible for creating, curating, and managing content across various social media platforms to build a brand’s presence, engage its audience, and drive traffic or sales.
  • They oversee social media strategies, content calendars, and campaigns, ensuring consistent, high-quality messaging that aligns with the company’s goals.

Responsibilities
Content Creation & Curation:

  • Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms (text, images, videos, infographics, etc.).
  • Ensure content is aligned with the company’s tone, brand, and objectives.

Social Media Strategy:

  • Design, implement, and manage social media strategies and campaigns.
  • Analyze trends and adapt strategies to maximize engagement and reach.

Community Management:

  • Engage with followers, respond to comments/messages, and foster positive relationships.
  • Monitor brand mentions and industry conversations.

Content Calendar Management:

  • Create and maintain a content calendar to ensure timely delivery of content across platforms.
  • Coordinate with other departments for alignment and content approval.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Track and analyze the performance of content and campaigns.
  • Use insights to optimize future content and strategies.

Collaborations and Partnerships:

  • Collaborate with influencers, partners, and internal teams to create co-branded content and campaigns.

Brand Consistency:

  • Ensure consistency in messaging, visuals, and tone across all social media channels.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.

Paid Advertising:

  • Plan, create, and manage paid social media ads to drive traffic, conversions, and brand awareness.

Requirements / Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 4 years) in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, native social platform insights) to track performance
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to create visually appealing content (e.g., Photoshop, Canva, video editing software).
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to convey brand messages clearly and effectively to different audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to manage content calendars and workflows.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and adapt strategies based on insights.
  • Strong understanding of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and metrics related to social media and content performance.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of social media trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in the digital landscape.

Salary
N300,000 – N350,000 / month.
