Tincan Island Container Terminal Limited (TICT), established in 2004, is a multinational company operating in Nigeria with its Terminal located at Tin-can Island Port, Terminal B (2nd Gate), Apapa, Lagos and has its Head Office at 1/3 Point Road, Apapa, Lagos. After a very competitive bidding process, TICT emerged as the concessionaire of Terminal B, Tincan Island Port. Armed with a long-term lease agreement with the Federal Government of Nigeria, and an unwavering commitment to continued investment in Port development, we are poised to position ourselves as a key industry player within the African sub-region.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Technical Process Strategist

Location: Apapa, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Roles and Responsibilities
Process Improvement and Optimization:

  • Lead initiatives to improve technical processes, increase operational efficiency, and reduce waste.
  • Analyse existing workflows, identify bottlenecks, and propose data-driven solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Implement best practices in operational excellence across the organization.

Operational Planning:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive technical plans for maintenance, resource allocation, and project timelines.
  • Ensure alignment between operational plans and business goals, delivering on time and within budget.
  • Monitor and track progress on key operational projects, making adjustments as needed to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect and analyse operational data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide actionable insights to management by creating detailed reports and dashboards.
  • Support decision-making by offering data-driven recommendations for process enhancements.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Facilitate team collaboration to meet project objectives and deliver improved performance across technical operations.

Maintenance Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring equipment and machinery are in optimal condition.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to plan and execute maintenance tasks efficiently, minimizing downtime.
  • Track and analyse maintenance performance to identify improvement opportunities.

Project Management:

  • Lead technical projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure the successful execution of operational initiatives.
  • Manage project documentation, ensuring that all processes and learnings are well-documented.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure that all technical operations comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Participate in audits and inspections to verify compliance and improve safety measures where necessary.

Other Duties:

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the HOD.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degrees with 7+ years relevant work experience.
