Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled and proactive Junior Project Manager [Contract Administrator] / Contract Administrator to join our reputable oil and gas firm.
- The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing contracts, coordinating project activities, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
- This position demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contract terms and conditions for various projects and agreements.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, legal requirements, and company policies.
- Monitor the lifecycle of contracts, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
- Maintain accurate records of all contractual documents and correspondence.
- Support project planning and scheduling in alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful execution of projects.
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure adherence to contractual agreements.
- Identify risks, delays, and other project challenges, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Act as a liaison between the project team, contractors, and clients to ensure effective communication.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings, ensuring clear documentation and follow-up actions.
- Provide timely updates and reports to management on project progress and contractual matters.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks associated with contracts and project execution.
- Handle claims and disputes in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Law, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience in contract administration or project management, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, industry regulations, and project management principles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in the oil and gas industry is an advantage.
- Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or Contract Management certifications are highly desirable.
Salary
N500,000 – N700,000 Monthly.
